He was born in Thiva in 1956, where he completed his elementary and high school education.He received his medical degree from the University of Athens medical school.

He specialized in Opthalmology in the General Hospital of Athens, where he trained in the departments of Cornea, Retina, Laser, Eletrophysiology and strabismus.

He has attended post graduated courses in anterior chamber surgery and contact lens fitting in Greece and abroad. He lives and works in the city of Thive  where he runs a fully equipped office.

He has specialized in catarract surgery using ultrasounds and laser, in glaukoma treatment and strabismus surgery. He collaborates and operates in the opthalmology clinic "YPAPANTI" in Athens.

During the last years he specialized in the refractive surgery and collaborates with the opthalmology center "VLEMMA" (www.vlemma.com) in Athens where he corrects myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism with laser. He is a member of Thiva's Medical Society and he is president elect of the disciplinary board.
